9 ROOMS: The BAMart Salon exhibition promises to be a celebration of contemporary art. Since BAMart’s inception in 2018, a historic Queen Anne Regency home in the Larchmont Manor has served as its gallery in which to present curated contemporary art. This show is no exception and with every show, BAMart seeks to showcase the best and brightest of today’s contemporary art. Unbeknownst to Brooke Molinaroli when she started BAMart over 7 years ago, she was creating a salon-style experience for clients and collectors. Many are familiar with the Parisian salons of Gertrude Stein where abstract expressionist art was installed in unexpected ways and dialogue were encouraged between artists, writers, and thinkers of the day. This approach serves a stark contrast to the white-walled spaces of most galleries, which has dominated the art world since the early 20th century.
The BAMart environment is relaxed and comfortable for first time or experienced collectors alike to view cutting edge contemporary art juxtaposed with notable architectural features and a contemporary decor. This year’s show will feature 19 contemporary artists, including 12 artists we have not previously shown presented on the first floor, upper floors, and the detached BAMart Garage Gallery. The exhibition will feature over 100 exceptional works, including paintings, photography, mixed media, and sculpture, from both emerging and mid-career artists already making waves in the art world today. Curated by Brooke Molinaroli and Fiona Farrell of BAMart Advisory, the collection will draw from renowned galleries from across the US and Mexico, and direct collaborations with the artists, creating a truly unique experience. As visitors explore the show, they will have the opportunity to acquire works of contemporary art for their own home.
In addition to the exhibition, a panel discussion to take place in the house, will explore the significance of living with art and outline simple steps to help select works that reflect personal style and evoke emotional responses. This conversation will feature a diverse group of experts, including a designer, artist, art historian, and magazine photo editor, offering valuable insights for art enthusiasts and collectors alike. The BAMart Salon hopes to embody the same spirit and show how to live with art at home in meaningful ways. The exhibition will offer practical insights on how to incorporate art into your personal space, reflecting your unique story and taste.
